This is a ripe and juicy Brunello with lots of chewy tannins. It’s big and powerful with ripe-blackberry flavors and a juicy finish. Big style, but needs time to soften. It’s a little dry now.

Wow. Real purity of fruit here with crushed black cherries and flowers. It’s full-bodied, very tight and focused with chewy tannins that are polished and gorgeous. A very youthful 2016, but ever so clear and transparent with crushed stones and dry earth. Some conifer.

Giovane e fragrante mostra sentori misti di fiori bagnati e frutti a bacca piccola rossi e neri. Sottili sfumature di grafite dominano la scena secondaria. Corpo medio-pieno, scorrevole e slanciato mostra armonia e succosità davvero brillanti e moderni. Ben fatto.

The 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Pomona lifts up with a display of mentholated herbs, bright cherry, pine and dusty florals. It’s cool toned and poised, ushering in a mix of red/black fruits while showing considerable density, all held together by brisk acids with notes of sage, caraway and black licorice toward the close. Hints of spiced orange and plums linger, along with fine-grained tannins which promise years of positive development. The 2016 Pomona does show a bit more wood influence than i typically like, yet it is really quite impressive.

Fascinating aromas of black cherries, bark, flowers and orange peel. Roses, too. Full-bodied, yet so refined and beautiful. Really soulful and Beautiful. It has tar, mushroom and bark undertones. It’s full-bodied and polished with fine tannins. Needs time to come together and soften, but such a beauty already.
